0 - 19 Public Health Integrated Nursing
Every family across Leeds, starting at pregnancy and continuing through to school leavers, receives support from the 0-19 Public Health Integrated Nursing Service.
Audiology (ICAN)
Operating as part of the Integrated Children’s Additional Needs (ICAN) Service we identify children aged 0-18 years who attend a Leeds school or GP, with a hearing impairment early in life so that the condition can be best managed.
Audiological Medicine (ICAN)
This service is for children aged 0 – 18 years who are born deaf or become deaf early in life. A referral to our service can be made by your child’s audiologist. We also accept referrals from other hearing service professionals who may have concerns related to your child’s hearing loss where the cause may have already been known and investigated in the past.
Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS)
CYPMHS stands for Child and Young People's Mental Health Service. It's a service for children and young people under 18 in Leeds and their families.
Child Health Information (ICAN)
Operating as part of the Integrated Children’s Additional Needs (ICAN) Service, we enable the provision of clinical services and to meet local and government standards, targets and developments.
Community Intravenous Administration (CIVAS)
We are an established community nursing team in Leeds that provides intravenous therapy for housebound patients in their own homes and within a community clinic setting, as an alternative to an extended stay in hospital.
Community Paediatricians (ICAN)
Paediatricians are doctors who specialise in children's health. Our staff are all trained specifically to work with children; everything we do will be done in the best interest of your child and with the greatest care.
Continence, Urology and Colorectal (CUCS)
The Continence, Urology and Colorectal Service (CUCS) is for any person living in Leeds with a Leeds GP, aged 16 years or older, with a bladder, bowel or stoma problem or who experiences incontinence.
Dental
The Community Dental Service (CDS) provides NHS dental care for children and adults who have dental treatment needs which cannot be met in a general dental practice. The majority of our patients have physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, medical, emotional or social impairment, or more often a combination of these factors.
Eye Service (ICAN)
The Community Children's Eye Service provides care to children between the ages of 6 months and 8 years who live in Leeds. They assess, diagnose and treat children with squints, visual development and eye movement disorders. They also provide care for older children who have special needs or learning difficulties.
Falls
The Community Falls Service is a citywide service consisting of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
Gynaecology
We provide a friendly high quality service for benign gynaecological conditions, providing specialist care in different community settings.
Health Case Management
The Health Case Management Service provides timely case management for the population of Leeds (those aged 18 and over) who are eligible for NHS Fast Track and Continuing Healthcare Funding and have a Leeds GP. This includes in hospitals, community beds or in your own home.
Home Enteral Feeding
We provide support and homevisits to patients who have a feeding tube.
Homeless and Health Inclusion
We provide individual support to vulnerable homeless adults. We offer medical and psycho-social support and timely, open and honest discussions to help our patients make their own decisions.

Humberside Liaison and Diversion
We offer advice and support for people when they first come into contact with the criminal justice system across Yorkshire and the Humber. This includes suspects, defendants and offenders.
Long COVID Community Rehabilitation
We offer support to people in Leeds who are experiencing new, long lasting problems 12 weeks or more after a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection which are significantly impacting how they are able to function in day-to-day life.

Neighbourhood Teams
The Health and Social Care Integration Programme has led to the development of 13 Integrated Neighbourhood Teams across Leeds, with the aim of improving outcomes for people and maximising access to services.
Neurological Rehabilitation
The Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS) offers specialist multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to adults with neurological conditions.
Nursing (ICAN)
The Children's Nursing Service includes the Nursing and Butterfly team, Hannah House, the continuing care team, health short breaks team and the inclusion nursing team.
Nutrition and Dietetics
A nutrition service for adults made up of professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems.

Our Children’s Nutrition and Dietetic Service is a citywide service supporting children, aged 0-16 years (19 for learning disabilities), with a wide range of nutrition and health problems.
Occupational Therapy (ICAN)
We work with children and young people with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism or developmental co-ordination disorder.
Palliative and End of Life Care
Operating as part of our Neighbourhood Teams and supported by Neighbourhood Palliative Care Leads (NPCL) we deliver palliative and end of life care that is safe, effective and reflects patients’ wishes, enabling them to be cared for in their preferred place of care and/or death wherever possible.
Physiotherapy (ICAN)
We work with children and young people aged 0-19 who have difficulties or a disability which impacts upon their movement and make their daily participation in activities difficult.
Podiatry
Leeds podiatry service provides core podiatry services to care for the people of Leeds.
Police Custody
We provide physical and mental health care assessment and treatment, along with forensic specimen collection from detained in police custody suites across Yorkshire and Humber. This is provided by a multi-skilled group of healthcare professionals, including paramedics, general, mental and learning disability nurses and forensic medical examiners.

Speech and Language Therapy
We work with children, young people and some adults with speech, language and communication and/or with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties that impact on their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Sudden Death In Childhood (SUDIC)
The death of a child is a devastating experience. We know that the deaths of some children are both sudden and unexpected. Some are sudden but sadly not unexpected. We know that nothing can ease your loss, but where reasons are not clear; we will make every effort to establish why your child died and ensure that we learn from each family’s loss.
Tuberculosis (TB)
We offer support and advice to people of all ages who have TB and we also support in the delivery of the BCG Immunisation Programme.
Watch It Family Weight Management
We help with weight management for overweight and very overweight children and young people, and provide lifestyle advice and support for their families. We also provide assessments, give general health information and advice and promote overall wellbeing.
