Over half a century of care -Thank you Jenny!

On her retirement, colleagues from the Inclusion Nursing Team would like to thank Jenny Clarke, Staff Nurse in Inclusion Nursing, for her incredible 56 years of care and commitment to the children, young people, and families of Leeds. Jenny started working with the Inclusion Nursing Team in March 2009 but has worked for the NHS since 1966. She retired on Friday 31 March 2022.

In her most current role, Jenny provided nursing care for children and young people aged two to 19 years of age who live with complex health, additional needs and learning disabilities. Throughout her career she has worked at various sites, cared for many patients, and supported numerous families.

As part of her farewell speech Susan Carr, Inclusion Nursing Service team leader, said: “I would like to thank Jenny for her service, commitment, care and compassion. She is a hero. Thank you, it has been a pleasure working with you. Enjoy your retirement.”

Although rest and relaxation beckons, Jenny doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon as she also runs a youth club on an evening and is an amazing and supportive mum, grandma and great grandma. We are sure all Team LCH colleagues will join with her team in wishing her well for the future.
