Maxine Emmonds Wins Cavell Star AwardMaxine Emmonds, Integrated Children’s Additional Needs Service (ICAN) – South hub healthcare support worker received the very well-deserved Cavell Star Award on Friday 5 August. 

Cavell Star Awards are awarded to nurses, midwives, nursing associates and healthcare assistants who show exceptional care to either their patients, their colleagues or parents' families. For the first time, NHS England and NHS Improvement sponsored the Community Nursing Cavell Star Award this year. The ICAN team nominated Maxine for the award to recognise Maxine for going above and beyond for their patients. They were delighted to hear that she was an award winner. Gail Greenwood, ICAN Clinical Team Leader (Nursing) said, "It is a way to say a big thank you for the incredible work that our exceptional healthcare support worker Maxine does every day."

Maxine was presented with a Cavell star medal, pin badge, certificate and card along with some flowers with her team and work colleagues from St Georges Centre present.
