Start your career in the community
“It’s a privilege to be allowed into a person’s home to deliver care. It feels so very personal”
Community isn’t just our specialism, it’s who we are and at the heart of all we do. Our priority is to deliver the best possible care in every community, and to help us do this we work through neighbourhood teams. All our nurses and professionals work together across a defined area of the city to provide a wide range of services to the people who need them.
We employ more than 3,000 people in health and administrative roles. We’re always looking for new talent to join our team and develop a career in our community. So, if you’re looking for a permanent post, temporary flexible work or an Apprenticeship we might have the opportunity you're seeking.
We try hard to make sure that our people feel valued, respected, and part of Team LCH. That’s why a role with us isn’t just a job; it’s the next stage of your career journey and we’re here to support you each step of the way. Plus, in return for your dedication, we offer a range of superb staff benefits to help you get that work - life balance just right.
If you can picture yourself working for Team LCH have a look at our vacancies and if you can’t find what you’re looking for today, sign up to NHS job alerts to make sure you're the first to see new roles as they're advertised.

Nursing in the community - a film by Health Education England
District nurses carry out a huge range of vital work with patients in the community every single day. They provide care in people’s homes, communities, GP surgeries, clinics – and do vital outreach work with people who may not have a secure home.
Health Education England created a film to showcase the incredible work these nurses do. You can watch the video below:

The STaR Scheme
STaR stands for Staff Trained and Ready. Our STaR scheme allows staff to volunteer in other areas of the Trust and temporarily support teams and critical services under extreme pressure. The scheme allows staff to gain experience working in other areas, the opportunity to help essential services under pressure, as well as the chance to develop new skills in a new environment. Feedback from staff includes the following:
“The team were so supportive and so helpful; they were just really pleased they’d got some extra support.” Tracey Butterfield
““I came out of it with lots of pride and a sense of achievement that we were able to support the patients and the team.” Janine Macdonald
